Number Friends — Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 9 August 2026
The short version
Number Friends collects nothing, sends nothing, and shows no advertising. It has no accounts, no analytics, and no third-party code of any kind. The app works with the device offline and never makes a network request. Whatever a child does in the game stays on that device, and deleting the app deletes it.
This policy covers the Number Friends mobile app for iOS and Android, published by Lion Force Pty Ltd. The app is designed for children aged 3–5 and is built to be handed to a child unsupervised, so it is written to hold no personal information at all.
1. Information We Collect
None. The app does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers — we operate no servers for it. Specifically, Number Friends does not gather:
- Names, email addresses, or contact details
- Location, device identifiers, or advertising IDs
- Photos, camera, microphone, or contacts — the app requests no device permissions whatsoever
- Usage analytics, crash reports, or diagnostics
- Any information at all about the child using it
2. What Is Stored On the Device
So that a child’s progress survives the tablet being put down, the app saves a small amount of information in the device’s own private storage:
- The number of stars earned, which is also what decides the difficulty and which animal friends have been met
- How the last few rounds went, so the game can make itself easier again if they are going badly
That is the whole list. The app never asks for a name, and there is nothing in it that a child can type into.
A copy of those two values is also kept in the app’s own settings storage (UserDefaults on iOS, SharedPreferences on Android), because the storage a web view uses can be cleared by the operating system when a device runs short of space, and losing a collection of animal friends is a genuine disappointment to a four-year-old. Both copies are private to the app, are removed when it is uninstalled, and never leave the device. They are not transmitted, not backed up to us, and not readable by anyone but the app.
3. No Advertising, No Tracking, No Third Parties
The app contains no advertising, no in-app purchases, and no analytics or attribution software. It integrates no third-party SDKs, social networks, or login providers, and there is nobody for us to share information with because none is gathered.
There are also no links out of the app — nothing a child can tap that opens a browser, a store, or another application.
4. Children’s Privacy
Number Friends is intended for young children, and is designed to comply with the United States Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the Apple App Store Kids Category requirements, and the Google Play Families policy.
Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, verifiable parental consent is not required for its operation. There is nothing in the app that needs to be kept behind a parental gate: no settings that reveal anything, no purchases, and nowhere to leave the app for.
5. Deleting the Information
6. Changes to This Policy
7. Contact
